Welcome to St. Andrew's Catholic Primary School

A very warm welcome to St. Andrew's Catholic Primary School.

We are immensely proud of our school community and the values that underpin everything we do. At St. Andrew's, we recognise that every child is unique, loved by God, and blessed with individual talents and gifts. Inspired by the Gospel, we strive to ensure that our children live, love and learn together as true witnesses to Christ, growing in faith, confidence and compassion.

As a Catholic school, our mission is to nurture the spiritual, academic, social and emotional development of every child. We provide opportunities for pupils to deepen their relationship with God and develop a strong sense of faith within an atmosphere of mutual respect, kindness and belonging. Through prayer, worship, religious education and service to others, we encourage our children to become caring and responsible members of society who make a positive difference in the world around them.

St. Andrew's is a vibrant, welcoming and inclusive school where children are encouraged to achieve their very best. We are committed to providing a safe, happy and stimulating environment in which every child feels valued, supported and inspired to learn. Our dedicated staff work tirelessly to create engaging learning experiences that challenge, motivate and celebrate success. We have high expectations for all our pupils and believe that, with the right support and encouragement, every child can fulfil their God-given potential.

Strong relationships are at the heart of our school. We are fortunate to have a talented and committed team of staff who care deeply about the wellbeing and achievement of every pupil. Their dedication, combined with the support of parents, governors and our wider community, helps create a nurturing environment where children thrive both academically and personally.

As part of the St Thomas More Parish in Sheldon, our school enjoys a close and valued partnership with the parish community. We are especially grateful for the guidance and support of Father Michael, who regularly celebrates Mass with our pupils, families and parishioners in our school hall and altar area. These opportunities for shared worship strengthen the spiritual life of our school and help our children develop a deeper understanding of their faith.

Beyond the classroom, we offer a wide range of enriching opportunities, including educational visits, sporting activities, music, creative arts and a variety of extracurricular clubs. These experiences help children discover new interests, develop important life skills and build lasting friendships.

Our school day runs from 8:45am until 3:30pm, providing a rich and balanced curriculum that encourages curiosity, resilience and a love of learning. We are passionate about helping every child grow into a confident, independent learner who is well prepared for the next stage of their educational journey.

We firmly believe that education is most successful when schools and families work together. We value the strong partnerships we share with parents and carers, recognising them as the first educators of their children. Through open communication, collaboration and mutual trust, we work together to support every child's development and success.

Whether you are a current member of our community, a prospective parent, or simply visiting our website, we hope you gain a real sense of the warmth, faith and ambition that make St. Andrew's such a special place. We are proud of our achievements, excited about our future and privileged to accompany our children as they learn, grow and flourish.

Thank you for visiting our website. We hope it provides a valuable insight into life at St. Andrew's Catholic Primary School, and we look forward to welcoming you to our school family.
